Outside of the Mader winery is a sign that says “nos vins sont secs”, our wines are dry. A statement of intent from Jerome who took over the family farm in 2005. This dry Riesling comes from 10% de-classified Grand Cru land from the great Rosacker vineyard. The wine is a blend from several sites of mostly limestone-based soil. This wine opens clear and nicely aromatic, with some smoky flavours along with white-stone fruit and lemon. A finessed and salty Riesling that reveals good freshness, grip and tension on the palate. Round and elegant.
